Creating multimedia art
From an early age I've created art - mostly murals on walls with my Crayola crayons.
I've moved on to now create multi-media artworks that are primarily in watercolour, ink, digital photography, coloured pencil and collage.
I hold a BFA degree from ECIAD (now called ECUAD), and a Certificate in New Media from VFS. I have studied at Pilchuck Glass School (WA, US), and numerous other art workshops in Canada and the US.
Previously, I exhibited and sold my art (mainly glass) in numerous gallery shops across the country, such as the Art Gallery of Ontario’s gift shop, The Alberta Craft Council Gallery, and the Manitoba Craft Council Gallery.
As well, I have sold my art to such publications as Vancouver’s The Georgia Straight, Edible, Silicon Valley, as well as to private patrons.
Writing website content
I can write content to suit any business and audience, and enjoy the constant learning process. This includes writing website content, e-newsletters, user guides, and blog posts.
Although much of my writing focuses on art-related topics, my interests include, but are not limited to: web design, writing, art, crafts, technology, health, fitness, and DIY (how to’s).
I hold a Technical Writing Certificate from SFU, and a Content Marketing Certificate from SmartBlogger. My expertise is in creating readable, usable, accessible, and interoperable content for the web.
I've worked for institutions that require strict policies and procedures. I've written for audiences ranging from beginner to expert, and can create content consistent with your brand.
I have a large toolkit: I can write the words and create the visuals to produce cohesive, compelling content. This equates to well researched, easy to-relate-to articles that have impact - not only in voice, but in visual layout.
